Which sort of Diabetes do you have?
Type 1
-Started on insulin at or soon after diagnosis, usually young at diagnosis, prone to keto-acidosis
Type 2
-Started on diet or tablets at diagnosis, but may have had to start insulin, usually older at diagnosis
Gestational Diabetes
-diagnosed during pregnancy
Secondary Diabetes
-diabetes precipitated by steroids, other endocrine diseases by chronic pancreatitis, or liver disease.
